Attending the Black Celeb event this year as a volunteer was really memorable for me. I saw people who I worked with walk across the stage and say, “I got my degree, I made it".

Our cultural events celebrate the achievements, commonalities and differences that characterize the experiences of African/African-American, Arab, Latino/a, and Native communities.

The graduation celebrations are part of the larger commencement experience on campus and mark a tradition of valuing the various cultural offerings to the University and world community
